Cannot sign in GitHub Copilot
I'd like to try out GitHub Copilot so I installed the Rider plugin. After installation, and Rider restart, I click the little status bar icon and start the GitHub sign-in process...
But after successful sign in the plugin still indicate it's not signed in. Has anyone managed to get it to work? I have tested on my PC and on my Mac, but I'm unsuccessful on both platforms.

GitHub Copilot plugin is provided by GitHub. Please review their docs regarding using this plugin with JetBrains IDEs. If the issue persists, your best course of action would be to contact GitHub about it.

I am having the exact same issue. I have a paid Github Copilot subscription. I updated the plugin yesterday and now it says Login to Github (which I am) but when I click the button, nothing happens.
Seems to work, if you log-out and back in using the little Copilot icon in the bottom-right of Rider.
I am running into the same issue. GitHub shows that i was successfully logged in, but Rider shows Initializing checking Copilot Chat prerequisite and it gets stuck in that. Anyone has any workarounds. I had no issues with previous versions of Rider. Now I am on 2024.2.
I also noticed in the logs the following error: INFO - #copilot - [auth] Failed to get copilot token due to 401 status. Please sign out and try again.
I had to uninstall v 1.5.20.6554 and re-install v 1.5.19.6527 which got my Copilot Chat to work!
The GitHub Copilot plugin is vendored by GitHub. I see there is a similar report on Copilot issue tracker: https://github.com/orgs/community/discussions/76549
If the plugin doesn't work, please report it to Copilot tracker. Unfortunately, I have nothing else to suggest. Apologies for the inconvenience.
