Rider was unable to detect a Mono runtime on this machine.
I been trying create Mvc Core application and see the following error:
Rider was unable to detect a Mono runtime on this machine.
We strongly recommend to install the latest version of Mono.
You can also specify the custom runtime path via Preferences → Build, Execution, Deployment → Mono.
Use the latest Rider

Is it possible to work with core solutions without mono? Because in the post here https://rider-support.jetbrains.com/hc/en-us/articles/208074835-Using-Project-Rider-on-Mac-prerequisites I can use either .NET Core for Mac or Mono.

Thanks you for the feedback. I have updated the article https://rider-support.jetbrains.com/hc/en-us/articles/208074835
Unfortunately for now we require mono for latest dotnetcore, but this is on list to be fixed.
Ivan, thank you for the answer. Do you have any estimations when it be fixed?
It is hard to make an estimation right now. We are evaluating several possibilities.
