Team shared settings file not working in Rider EAP 20

Answered

Hi there,

unfortunately the settings layers are not working in my Rider app. I'm using

Rider EAP 20
Build #RS-171.4089.265, built on April 13, 2017
Rider EAP User
Expiration date: May 13, 2017
JRE: 1.8.0_112-release-736-b16 x86_64
JVM: OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM by JetBrains s.r.o
Mac OS X 10.12.4

When I go to settings and then under Editor->Code Style->C# and select Save->Solution "SolutionName" team-shared

no file is written to the directory next to the .sln file.

Can you reproduce this issue? Do others have this problem? Is there a workaround?

Best regards,

Robin

Robin,

Have you changed anything in the codestyle settings before saving?

I had made changes to the codestyle settings. Saving didn't work. But I just now changed a other setting and then directly selected 'Save team-shared' file. That did the trick. Thank you!
As a user I would expect that the team-shared file gets created in any case. Also with only default settings, just to setup the project/team.
