Editor window not accepting anything but alphanumerics

Answered

I've come across a fairly big issue, and I'm not sure how to resolve it, so I'm hoping someone could give me some insights into how to best go about remedying it.

For some unknown reason, Rider has stopped accepting any input that isn't purely alphanumeric, so while a-z and numbers (presumably) work, backspace, cmd, ctrl, alt, etc do not. This is obviously a massive blocker and completely inhibits me from doing any work. Is this a known issue, and is there a fix for it? As for error messages, I got a short one saying "not bound" just now—no other info or anything, however. ICould it possibly be an issue with the settings repository (that I recently started using) and a keymapping conflict or similar? This does not, however, occur in any of the other IDEs.

Please open a request in https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issues/RIDER, attach the logs (in Rider Help->Show logs in files)

Follow up here with the issue number.

Thanks!

Sure thing! … Err if I could find out how to attach them? Or do you mean when reporting the error, rather than in this forum?

Yes, please open a youtrack request. Sorry for inconvenience.

Oh, right. Yes! Or I would, except it somehow started working again now (after about a week of this). Sorry to bother you! I can still post the logs / open a request if you think it would be worthwhile, however.

If you can point the records in the logs, when you had problem, then please make an issue and attach logs. Thank you!
