Structure view defaulting #regions collapsed, auto-re-collapsing them

Hi - two related issues:

1. I'd like the structure view to default to having regions expanded

2. If I expand a region then make any code change the region auto-collapses again in the structure view

Is there any way to change this behavior in preferences? Thanks!
