Rider - smart backspace

I am coming from IDEA, now starting to work with Rider. I could import most of the settings from IDEA however I can't find a way to turn on smart backspace. Basically I am looking for backspace behaviour like in the gif below. Currently in Rider I have to press backspace multiple times - where in IDEA I only need to press backspace once. Is this missing in Rider ?

Since that issue has been open for almost a year now and is now in the backlog, you may want to look at the plugin "Hungry Backspace" https://plugins.jetbrains.com/plugin/162-hungry-backspace. I've been using it for about 30 seconds so I can't speak to great lengths about it, but right out of the box I get the whitespace deleting behavior that we are looking for.
I've been using that plugin for a couple days; it has a few irritating quirks, but it's better than the bug in Rider.
