Entering newline and various features are unresponsive

Yesterday I upgraded to Rider 2017.2.1, and at some point during the day Rider became completely unusable. It is generally unreponsive to typing, and often just ignores my input altogether, especially if I type too quickly.

I reported the issue, but haven't received a response yet.  I really don't want to have to ask for a refund.. every other C# IDE in OSX is terrible ;(
