I was wondering if there happens to exist any sort of mechanism/mechanic to allow for switching between plugins on the fly? I typically use copilot for my completion, as it has been reliable for me for as long as I can remember having used it. I also have the JB AI Pro subscription, and the few times I have attempted to use it, the completions never worked (on Linux, Ubuntu), but the chat works fine, etc.
I want to give it a try again, but it is a pain (relatively) to have to first disable copilot, change the completion settings, restart the editor, come back in, realize it doesn't work, then have to repeat the process to go back to copilot.
I am not a big fan of VSCode, but one thing they finally did right was having plugin/settings sets you can change on the fly without having to restart the editor. All plugin loading/unloading/settings swap happens automatically and you do not have to do anything other than select the other profile.
I don't expect that it is possible, due to how much trouble the editor has sometimes when simply trying to disable plugins (brings up a ‘Unloading’ modal and locks up the editor and I have to force it closed. Not often anymore, but still, occasionally), but I figured it might be worth an ask, while explaining the overall main goal I am after in case there is something else available that might be able to accomplish what I am after that I simply don't know about.
All said and done, it would be nice to have something in which I could change my completion source with a simple hotkey combination so that I could theoretically have additional options/choices in completions more quickly, (or in my case, be able to test if it's working quickly).
