Clear read-only status "using version control integration" is unavalible (Perforce)

Rider correctly connects to Perforce, shows that everything is fine when I click “Test Connection”, displays my workspace correctly… BUT it's all competely pointless because when I try to modify file, it doesn't allow me to check-out it. In “Clear read-only status” I can inly choose “using file system”, and option "using version control integration" is greyd out.

It worked before, when I had *.sln file in the root project folder, but after I moved *.sln file separately from code - it stopped working for no reason,

I'm glad this question was asked. I was having the exact same issue.

Hello,

Thank you for pointing out to this issue. I would appreciate it if you could elaborate on the operation "I moved *.sln file separately from code" you mentioned.

  • Did you just move the .sln file out from .uproject file or did you perform some specific steps?
  • Do you select the .sln file when you open your project or the .uproject file?
  • What Unreal Engine version do you use? (for example, 5.0.3 from Epic Games Launcher or 5.3.2 build from sources on GitHub)

Have a nice day!
