Xamarin.Mac application template not available on Mac

I installed the latest version of Rider (both intel and apple silicon versions). The Environment section in Settings shows the Xamarin.Mac SDK being available (installed with Visual Studio for Mac):

However, the new Project/Solution dialog does not have any options to create a Xamarin Mac application. Is this intentional or is there something that I should be doing?

Thank you for reaching Rider Forum.

Xamarin is reaching its EOL soon, and we have committed to support it up to the end of this year. However, it is in maintenance mode, which means that we are not promoting Xamarin development any longer (including creating new Xamarin projects from scratch). Thus, to create a template, you may either:

Create a custom Xamarin Template on your own;
Choose an earlier version of Rider.
