Inline debugging dissapeared

Version 2024.1.2(latest) I noticed that I don't see ‘Step to Cursor’, ‘Run to Cursor’ icons when I debug the code. This happened after the update

Hello Mustafayev T

Thank you for contacting Rider Support.

Please also clarify, are you using the old UI or new UI?

To take a closer look at the issue, we will need some additional information. Please do the following in the Nightly Rider version (may be downloaded using ToolBox) :

  •  Go to Help | Diagnostic tools | Choose Trace Scenarios;
  •  Enable the Trace scenario for Debugger
  • Reproduce the issue;
  • Collect the full log bundle via Help | Collect Logs and Diagnostic Data;
  • Disable Trace scenarios;
  • Attach the resulting log bundle to this ticket or upload it to our server (https://uploads.jetbrains.com/) and share the ID.

Thank you in advance and have a great day!

Hello, Anna Morozyuk
Thank you for the reply. Here's the logs: Upload id: 2024_06_07_254b3fc8enqEhT2V5GP5Qb (file: rider-logs-20240607-2109535931097047264098490.zip)

I wonder what setting might cause this, maybe the default value is set to true with the update so that I can turn it on manually?
Thank you!

Hello Mustafayev T ,

Thank you for the info provided.

Usually, settings are not turning off on their own, so it is quite unlikely.  You may check, though, in Settings | Build, Execution, Deployment | Debugger—Show Floating Debugger Actions or in the Settings > Advanced settings.  Also, could you please tell are you using Old or New UI?

Meanwhile, I have checked log files and cannot find anything pointing in the right direction there.  Thus, I have created a new issue in our tracker:

RIDER-113608 Floating debug actions have gone since the 2024.1 update
Please upvote it to receive news.

Looking forward to your response.

Hey Anna Morozyuk , thank you for taking care of it.
So, I'm using old UI, and the issue is present there still. I just switched to new UI and looks like it works on new UI. See attachment:

Also, I did not find setting Show Floating Debugger Actions that you mentioned.
