Rider EA - Team Services TFVC

Installation:

macOS Sierra
Rider EA
Visual Studio Team Services plugin
Cross-platform Command-line Client for Team Foundation Server

Problem is that Rider does not see this command line client, probably because it does not use the right .(bash_)profile. Is there a way to point rider towards the installation of said cl client?
