Commit Message not populating in Rider

Version: JetBrains Rider 2024.2.3

Build: Build #RD-242.21829.166, built on August 29, 2024

Config:

Commit message is not populating but the History is there if you click the clock icon.

 

I have been having this issue for several months and hoped it was a Bug that would be fixed in the next release.  Thoughts?

Hi,

Please check if “Clear initial commit message” is enabled in Settings | Version Control | Commit?
