Rider AI Assitant - start disabled
Hi there,
is there a way to setup the AI assitant for C#/C++ projects to always start disabled?
I want to use assitant for my personal projects only. Now as far as I can tell (googling and checking settings from my pychart trial) if I get the plugin and enable it, it will start for new project as enabled. Also any project that I will open will start with enabled AI Assitant.

For now it is not possible to disable AI Assistant in all projects and enable for certain ones. By default AI Assistant is enabled and can be disabled by following this guide: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/articles/SUPPORT-A-36.
So in your particular case you could use the
.noaifile in projects/repositories where you don't want to enable AI Assistant.We have a feature request on our issue tracker: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/LLM-3528.
