Jetbrains AI Assistant disabled in EAP builds!?

I just upgraded to 2025.1 EAP2 to find that the Jetbrains AI assistant was disabled (marked as incompatible!). This is especially galling since i'd only just subscribed.

WTH Jetbrains! I contend that Jetbrains should strive to make its own AI plugin compatible for EAP builds - otherwise, i kind of want my money back.

PS The plugin needs serious work (especially on Chat GPT). It's seriously ignorant of your code, not even looking at the class you currently have in the editor. It's must worse than just pasting in the class in ChatGPT and asking the same questions.

It looks like you encountered a known issue: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/LLM-2820.
As a workaround please try to uninstall and install again the AI Assistant plugin in Settings (⌘ + , or Ctrl + Alt + S) > Plugins. Apologies for the inconvenience.

If possible please file an issue report on our issue tracker: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/newIssue?project=LLM, and share more details like steps to reproduce, screenshots, chat dumps, IDE logs etc.
