Is there a way to automatically escape special characters when pasting text in json strings in .json files?

I am using Rider.Net but this question applies to all IDEs that support editing json files, is there a shortcut that allows me to paste a windows path in a json string and have the back-slashes automatically escaped? This happens automatically when I paste a path in a C# string in a .cs file but not in .json files. Is there a way to enable this behaviour for .json files?

I pasted the screenshot in the other message but it didn't seem to go through, the image seemed to have been stripped out and for quite some time I had a message saying the posting is pending. So I gave up coming here. This time I used the image button to upload the screenshot.
