Rider - Unlock Login Keyring
Hello,
when I am opening a project in Rider (2025.1.2 on Linux, KDE Desktop) I get a prompt since a few days.
This is only for this special project. Other projects are starting without that prompt. I really have no clue where this is coming from.
The settings for storing passwords is, as for years, “in native keychain” and I am not aware of any changes about passwords in Rider. This project does not require passwords.
Any Idea what is going on here and how to get rid of it?

Could you please clarify if you have any custom NuGet feed set? It might be calling for credentials on a restore. You may find it in the Tools > NuGet > Show NuGet Sources.

The issue was caused by the installation of Minecraft which uses gnome-keyring-daemon if available. Why ever the configuration of the daemon was corrupted and Rider was claiming about. In Rider I now have switched from “use native keyring” to “forget passwords” since I do not need stored passwords and the issue is gone.
Sry, I simply had forgotten to close this thread on time.
