Disable commit window auto-closing after commit.

I have Rider v2025.2.0.1. I have the commit window set to be a Window. Until recently, the commit window would stay open after a commit. Now, the commit window is closing after every commit. How do I go back to the commit window being a true Windows window that stands alone and only closes when I close it?

I tried disabling and then re-enabling the bundled Modal Commit plugin, but that has no affect on the auto-close. I don't see any option in Advance Settings or Version Control. Thanks!

Hello Chris,

Thanks for contacting Rider support.

This issue is tracked under ticket IJPL-200753 Commit window automatically closes after commit when in window/float view mode. It has been fixed on codebase and it's scheduled to be included in next public release. There will be a new option implemented in the IDE settings, that will control this behavior. You may upvote the ticket and subscribe for updates.

Thanks,

Tom
