Rider on Windows - use unzipped sdk

Is there a way to make Rider see the dot net core sdk without running the installer?

I was forced to run dotnet-sdk-2.1.401-win-x64.exe but instead I prefer to use an unzipped dotnet-sdk-2.1.401-win-x64.zip

In a similar fashion to IDEA with java: I do not need to run a java setup, I just need a folder with the jdk.
