Rider vs ReSharper ultimate R + Rider

Answered

Hello,

We plan to use Rider at work (we use mac and visual studio for mac doesn't support R#) so I am making some tests with the free 30 days or Rider.

I can see some features of R# are present in the test version so I wanted to know:

Does the evaluation version include R#? Or it is juste Rider that implement some Resharper features but not all?

Also, when using visual studio + resharper you can disable code highlights for a portion of code, etc..., this doesn't seem possible with the Rider evualtion, would it be possible with Rider + Resharper?

I don't think it is relevant but in case, I am on Mac.

Thank you :)

Hello,

Yes, the evaluation version includes R#. Actually, the evaluation version doesn't differ from the paid version at all :) Although ReSharper's code is included into Rider, for some of its features, Rider doesn't have UI yet (e.g. Structural Search and Replace).

To disable code highlights for certain files, add them to "Elements to skip" section of "File | Settings | Editor | Inspection Settings".

Hope this helps!
