Converting Visual Studio Project Template to Rider? ie. Prism Template Pack?

Hi,

I wanted to know if there is a way to import or convert Project templates used in Visual Studio to Rider? For example, the Prism Template pack (see link) has good features on creating Prism projects and files related to WPF and Prism that uses the MVVM methods and I would like to use them here in Rider. If I'm able to use Nuget packages for Prism in Rider, shouldn't I be able to use the Prism Templates as well?

I'm currently being frustrated by this myself. At the moment I'm new to doing anything .Net related (and anything on windows) after years using other languages, and project templates are an absolute life saver for me, so I'm being forced to use Visual Studio when creating projects in order to use the ample ecosystem of *.vsix bundled project templates in order to not have to learn how to do everything from scratch on complicated cross platform projects when someone's documentation is  "step 1, use our project template, step 2, here's your main file, step 3, your code starts here have fun"

Hi,

This feature is not yet implemented. However, there is a feature request on Rider tracker for Prism project templates support:  RIDER-14798. Please feel free to vote for it to subscribe to updates and raise its priority.

Kind regards,

Sofia.

RIDER-14798 is closed but unless I have missed something it does not address the issue of the Prism template pack. In fact it explicitly states that the issue does not require that Prism issues are addressed to resolve the problem. Therefore the issue does not resolve this request since this request is about Prism not wpf templates.
