Hide obsolete methods in intellisense

Answered

I'm working with unity and there is a lot of obsolete members there.
When I'm browsing with intellisense I'd like to see only valid methods and fields.

I saw there is a necro post with the same title on resharper forum. Maybe this was implemented already? Thanks

Hi,

Would anyone know if this option to hide obsolete methods or elements has already been resolved, please? I can’t find any related option in Rider that could solve it. Thank you.

gzaffari, yes, this has been implemented since Rider 2020.1. Obsolete methods and elements are shown with a strikethrough in the completion list, so you can easily identify them while browsing suggestions.

Hi Ilnur Galimov,

Could you please let me know if there is an option to hide completely these methods? Even strikethrough, they end up hindering visibility and productivity.

Thank you.

Hi gzaffari, at the moment, there isn’t an option in Rider to completely hide obsolete methods or elements from the completion list.

If this is important for your workflow, you’re welcome to file a feature request in our tracker so the team can review and consider it.
