Open Windows Forms app made in Visual Studio in Rider as a windows forms app.

I have some large windows forms applications made originally in Visual Studio. I wanted to try working on them in Rider but when I open the solution they open as windows applications and not windows forms applications so I cannot access the designer and make changes to my forms, user controls, etc. Not sure if I have to open them a certain way but I can't find anything that gives me the option to change how a solution is opened. Thanks!
