Hide "Set next statement here"

Answered

Hi,

as the title suggested i would like to know how to disable/hide/remove the "Set next statement here" popup on mouse cursor while debugging.

Its extremely annoying, its spawns right under your mouse when you are about to click somewhere in your code ( seems pretty randomly when if it spawn or not ), sometimes after a short delay of 100ms but often right after mouse movement stops - and every time the whole debug session is lost...

Hi Christoph,

thank you for your feedback!

you can disable it in `File | Settings | Build, Execution, Deployment | Debugger => Show floating debugger actions`.

Hope this helps!

Hi I just wanted to echo this. It's great that there is a way to disable this, but this feature has absolutely HORRIBLE UX. It does spawn right under the mouse all the time when you're trying to simply move the cursor to select a new spot in the code - and just as you click suddenly the code execution JUMPS to that spot (because the icons show up right under the cursor) and suddenly you've changed the execution path and thus semantic of the code right in the middle of your debugging session.

This needs to be addressed from a product/UX perspective. This behaviour is certainly NOT what users intend when they move the mouse and click through code. We've spent a month with this feature and it's NEVER given us the intended consequence. In otherwise this is a major usability BUG and needs to be addressed as such.

Kind thanks!
