Heap Allocations Viewer not working

Completed

I've installed the Heap Allocations Viewer plugin into Rider, but it doesn't highlight code that allocates to the heap. I'm using version 1.2.19 of the plugin and version 2019.2 of Rider.

Hello Seanfkh,

Thank you for contacting us.
Could you please try to update to the latest Rider version and check if this helps? Thank you in advance.

I updated both Rider and the plugin to their latest version and it still doesn't work.

It all of a sudden started working again. Don't ask me why.

Hi! Thank you for keeping me posted.

I suppose the plugin was updated, so it fixed the issue :)

Should you have any questions, please, let me know.

Alexandra Guk am running into same thing. I've just installed Heap Allocations Viewer 1.2.3.0 into Rider 2020.3 EAP5 (running on Ubuntu 20.04), and I'm not seeing any flags around allocations in a new, minimal project targeting netcoreapp3.1. I've enabled the plugin for my project, and have also tried to enable it for all projects - and have restarted Rider of course.

Hi Shay Rojansky

It seems like the plugin has not been supported in Rider 2020.3 yet. Please, upvote the issue on plugin's bug tracker: https://github.com/controlflow/resharper-heapview/issues/75
