How Do I Fix This Xamarin Issue?

I have an issue with Xamarin not loading Theme.AppCompat in Rider. I can load the Xamarin.Android project that was created in VS everything works fine so I'm not sure. I have tried adding base.theme, deleting obj/bin files, running dotnet restore but nothing has worked.

The editor does not load the style either

But the app does compile and display the theme on the emulator.

 

I have tried Rider on both Windows 10 and Mac, and get the same issue

Hello Matt,

Unfortunately, it's a known issue in Rider and there is no workaround for it at the moment. We would appreciate it if you upvoted the issue in order to bring increased awareness to it: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/RIDER-24607
