Better Markdown Support

Hi,

I installed the plugin Markdown and it would be awesome if we have an original markdown support by jetbrains themselves.

A really interesting point here is marking code and displaying UML diagrams without the need to have another markdown editor installed or some plugins to make it work. Everything in one IDE, that's why I like Jetbrains so much.

Currently, diagrams (noted as ```sequence .... ```) are not getting displayed. I installed the PlantUML Plugin, but I would like to have documentation, code references and diagrams all together.

Is there some plans to support it?

I got some neat ideas of how to improve a markdown editor (with references to code, auto generating diagrams based on code/database/file, architectural analysis, etc). Let me know.

Otherwise I think about creating my own plugin, but I've never created one and I can imagine that doing so could take an eternity :D

At least for WebStorm this is coming: WebStorm 2020.3 EAP #2: Markdown Editing and Preview Improvements, and More – WebStorm Blog | JetBrains

I go not know if support will make it's way to Rider, but there is hope ;)

This would be an unfortunate decision if not :D

So I gotta stick with other solutions until you publish the markdown improvements, got you :)

Just as a note: I am not a JetBrains employee

Hey, stumbled accross this when I opened a markdown file in Rider for the first time and was surprised it wasn't supported :p Rider is excellent otherwise.

Check this out https://plugins.jetbrains.com/plugin/7793-markdown/versions

Hi @...!

The MarkDown Plugin is definitely bundled in Rider 2020.3. What version of Rider do you use?
