+10k Explorer errors only - when updated to Unity 2020.2.6 Follow
I think it is related to JetBrains Rider, but after upgrading to Unity 2020.2.6 (and also updated Rider yesterday), I got tons of errors in my Explorer window and the errors window bar. Although my project does not have any errors (and even in the script itself shows nothing, as you can see in the screenshot), the error seems to vanish only if I check file by file, one by one, which is a big problem (project is big).
I've tried already to clean up the cs project files, restarting project, etc. The errors does not go. And it was working good before the update. Any suggestions?
It does not really impact the project or any real errors. But having all those red marks and the Rider editor showing errors is very annoying.
EDIT: by pressing the "errors button", it goes file by file (opening) and then the error, for that file, disappears. But still, very odd and very annoying to go one by one.

Ok, solved by "inspecting the whole code solution again". But still, the question remains: what could have triggered that? :)
Hello Alex, it does look like broken cache, so File | Invalidate Cache/Restart should help there. Seems like this is exactly what you did with inspecting the whole solution again.
I see. Thanks Olga. Do you think it was just because of Unity upgrade? I also updated the Rider a day before. If you think it was Unity, I can pass this to the internal team (besides my own project, I also work there).
I can't tell. Could you please clarify from which version of Rider to which you have updated and same for Unity?
Sure, Rider 2020.3.3 Build #RD-203.7148.23. And Using Unity 2020.2.6f1
And the previous versions you have upgraded from?
Oh yes, sorry... I can't remember, but it was pretty much the last one before this.
Thank you for the reply, unfortunately as was mentioned, I can't tell at this point what was the exact reason for the issue. Rider update should not corrupt caches, in normal occasion they are updated as well. Corrupt might happen if system was unexpectedly rebooted, if Rider process was killed and so on. If you have any other questions, please let me know.
