Rider or an addon has broken my Unity Project & is preventing it from opening

Hello! After installing Rider on Ubuntu as a bug-checker addon, something it did has broken one of my Unity Projects to the point I can't even open it. It is not a code problem in the project.  The code is untouched.

The problem started after I installed the Cline addon to scan my project for errors using AI.  I never intended to use it to alter files or correct the errors, and it does not have that permission, but it kept complaining that I didn’t have an offline GIT repository to enable rollback. I thought better safe than sorry and created one.

Since then, I have not been able to open my project & it crashes with Unity errors.

This has persisted even AFTER I copied my entire Assets folder into a brand new project. So at the moment I can’t do a damn thing to my game. It’s driving me nuts. Any ideas?

Some of the errors I get:

Hello Blackmoore ,

Thank you for reaching Rider Forum.

Could you please disable Cline in Settings > Plugins > Installed-Cline - Disable

Then restart the IDE and open your Unity project.

Let me know if that helps.

Hey Anna Morozyuk ! Thanks for the reply. I actually got so frustrated I formatted my computer to do a clean unity install.  So Jetbrains isn't even on my computer right now, but the error persists.
