Rider 2021.3: git status bar widget missing
After the update the git status bar widget is missing. It is also not listed using appearance - status bar widgets. The git plugin is enabled.
Anyone experiencing the same and maybe found a solution?

Hi Sascha Andres!
Please try to turn on the new toolbar in `View | Appearance | Toolbar` (instead of "Toolbar Classic") for now. The widget is included in the new toolbar.
Turns out I already activated the new toolbar. Anyhow, I've just not realized it's there.
Alexandra Guk thanks for pointing out!
I am having the same issue in Rider 2021.3.1. If I choose the Classic Toolbar option it's there, but the new toolbar option doesn't have it.
I was about the report the same experience as Matt Smith
However I just realised that there is now a new git widget which appears at the top-left rather than bottom-right.
I must have missed this change in the What's New notes.
Oh wow, there is too. Despite looking around the UI on several occasions I never saw it. Thanks @...!
It's now on top. They seems to have declutered the bars, great idea.
Alexandra Guk I think you mean the opposite? "Toolbar Classic" will show the branch in the status bar at the bottom.
If you're installing 2022.2.3 on a box that never had Rider, it will set the default "Toolbar". In this mode, as NN pointed out, you'll see your branch on the top-left in the toolbar.
If you want it in the status bar, use View > Appearance > Toolbar Classic.
