Search in Explorer should hide not matching files

Im am trying to switch from VS to Rider but i always get stuck when i try to navigate through my code.

In VS i use the solution explorer alot. for example when i know i have some classes/files etc.. which contains "sms". In VS i can type "sms" in the explorer search bar and only see the files that match.

In Rider i still see all my files and get a highlighting and can jump between the matches.

In Rider its really hard to see what files are listed and where they are; in VS all these information is instantly visible.

i would love to see the feature in rider and i think it would be a great addition for others too

when i use the file-search ctrl+shift+t i also get all the correct files, but i dont see the folder structure of those.

Maybe there is a setting or a plugin that i dont know? Any thoughts on that?

Hello,

Unfortunately, Rider does not support tree filtering in Solution Explorer when speed searching.

Please, feel free to create a feature request on Rider's tracker: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/newIssue.

On the tracker, others can see your request and add their vote if they find it would be useful, which helps our team to better understand which features/tools our users are eager for. I believe this can help give the best visibility for your request.
