Viewing dottrace snapshots on MacBook Pro?

I have a 2014 MacBook Pro running Rider 2021.3.3 (latest).  I was able to use the dottrace command tool to generate a snapshot, but I don't see how to view the results.  Is it possible to view the snapshots on a mac?

Hi,

Within Rider open `View | Tool windows | dotTrace Profiler` tool window. In this tool window find `Recent snapshots` tab. In this tab on the left toolbar click on a folder-icon to open a snapshot. Then double-click the opened snapshot in this tool window and Rider will open it.

Hope it helps.

Hello Sofia,

That's my problem.  I don't seem to have the option for the dotTrace Profiler on my Mac Rider version.  I was only able to install the dottrace command line.  Is dotTrace Profiler available on macs?

thanks

Hi,

Ok, dotTrace is available in Rider only for the owners of dotUltimate or All Products Pack subscriptions. If you have one, then it is most likely disabled. Open `Preferences | Plugins`, find dotTrace in installed tab, and enable it.

Can this help?

Thanks Sofia,

That was it.  It was not enabled.  It showed up once I enabled it. :-)
