Lost Cover Tests?

I'm trying to run Rider as a non-admin. I've been encountering no end of issues while doing so. I almost have it working after finding the Toolbox installer, but I still have no Cover Tests options. There is no dotCover listed in the Toolbox, and there are no Cover options in Rider, including no Unit Tests Coverage window.

I tried using the dotUltimate installer (dotUltimate is what I pay for), but the links on my account say 2022.1 but link to the 2021.something installer instead. I tried downloading the most recent version directly, and it ended up uninstalling Rider for my user instead of installing it.

When using the dotUltimate installer, it requires installation as an admin, and so installs as the admin user and not my actual limited user.

What is the right way to install Rider for my limited user, and how do I enable Unit Test Coverage?

I've tried installing dotCover manually but Rider still doesn't have any Coverage options. What is it that allows Rider to have coverage options? Should it have them by default, does dotCover need to be installed into Rider, does it need to be enabled somehow, does it depend on the license, etc.?

Ok I found that there was a single plugin installed but disabled for dotCover. I enabled the plugin and that fixed it.

Hello Dave,

Thank you for contacting Rider support. Rider should be smoothly installed per-user when it is done via the ToolBox app.

Would you mind ensuring you have the option `File | Settings | Plugins | Installed | dotCover` enabled?
Hope it helps! Please let me know if it doesn't.

dotCover does not appear in the toolbox, either before or after having manually installed it. Enabling the plugin did bring back the coverage options in Rider.

Would you mind checking from `Help | Manage Licenses` if you have the dotCover plugin activated?

dotCover is activated in Rider now yes, after having enabled the plugin (ie: the license is activated along with the Rider license)
