File templates for C# not showing up

Using Rider 2022.1.1 on macOS 12.4
Suddenly, the file templates for C# code disappeared. They are still present in settings, yet not showing up when I try to create a new file.

Hi ronimizy

Thank you for contacting us. Do you have this issue with any type of project? Could you please check that the templates are in Quick-list?

My C# templates stopped showing up in the right-click menu in the Solution Explorer. When I go to look at them in the settings I get the loading spinner and nothing else. The only setting that will show templates is the Other Languages section. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling Rider, rebooting, tried starting a new project. I'm on MacOS, Intel.

Hello, Eric Carlson,

What Rider plugins do you have installed? If you disable all the plugins that are not bundled with Rider, would you still observe the same behavior?

Good call. I had the reqnroll IDE plugin installed. If I disable that and restart I get the file templates back. I'll open a ticket with the plug-in author. Thanks for the quick response!

I'll open a ticket with the plug-in author.

No need, it's a problem on our end, should be fixed in Rider 2024.1, relevant ticket: RSRP-495811 File templates can not be loaded (Plugin loading problems in 241). Apologies for the inconvenience.

I'm having apparently a similar issue.  The Unity File Templates are not showing up in the Add… menu. I'm using Rider for Unity with a Unity project. None of the Unity templates show up, even if they are in the Quick List, even if I configure the templates with “Everywhere” and “Any project”. I uninstalled all Plugins except “Unity Support” and the Keymaps and then restarted. I'm able to create user templates and have them show up (eg: see my “Test Unity Template” in screenshot, it appears in Add… menu).

Thanks in advance!
Mathieu
