Rider doesn't remember view mode settings between solutions

I'd like to have "Dock unpinned" as default "View mode" for all windows in Rider, but I haven't found a way to set that globally. And with each new solution I create, Rider doesn't remember my settings, so I need to set it for every single window. Is there a solution for this?

`Store current layout as default` should help.

I had tried that, but I had missed that I needed to do "Restore Default Layout" in already existing projects. New projects seem to use the "new" default layout.
