Use Selection for Find (and universal Find string)?
Both Xcode and Visual Studio have a Use Selection for Find (my muscle memory knows this as ⌘E). There doesn’t seem to be any equivalent in Rider. Am I missing it?
One key use is to select (say) a function name, and then find it in another file. Rider seems to ignore the convention of having a single Find string (as does Visual Studio, where I find this also horrible). Is there a way to get a single string that you can find in any open tab?

Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rider forum.
Use Selection for Find unfortunately is not yet implemented. However, we have a corresponding issue on our bug tracker. We would appreciate it if you would upvote the issue in order to demonstrate additional interest and bring increased awareness to the issue.
Should you have any further questions - please let me know.
Thanks for pointing me to it, I did upvote, but the fact that it hasn’t been addressed in almost 10 years kind of tells me Rider is never going to feel like a Mac app and I should give up on it.
