How to install Rider for all users on Windows 10?

Hello,

I have two users on my computer, both are admins, and both need Rider. When I am logged in as one of them I install Rider and everything is okay. But when I switch to the other user, Rider is not available to this new user. It is installed in C:\Program Files directory as usual and I can see it in Start Menu - I just can't run the executable. Some problems with permissions. So now I have to reinstall Rider again but for sole purpose of using it by current user.

How do I install Rider once and for all users? Why do I keep getting this issue? Isn't it hard to make this option a default option?

Just a bit frustrated.

Hello Kuharev D10,

Thank you for reaching Rider forum.

I have tried reproducing it on my machine, however my Rider copy was available for both users with no additional permission setup. Pleases clarify the following:

  1. How Rider was installed?
  2. Is the issue being reproduced with the current Rider version and Rider EAP?
  3. If the issue is reproduced, could you please share the screen-shot of the error, that you experiencing upon running the executable?

Thank you in advance! Looking forward to hearing from you.
