Hi! I reproduced it only on Mono 4.4.2, everything works fine using Mono 5.2.0. I will investigate this issue, maybe we could help you somehow

Hi! Yes, these issues are related.Here is ticket https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/RIDER-8695The only workaround for now is to not Step Into system methods (Or use Step Out)
