Rider does not hang anymore, and the project is marked as failed to load. So I can confirm that the issue described here is fixed.

Hi Sofia, Apologizes for the late reply. Indeed, the project which does not load uses a `global.json` specifying .NET SDK 2.2.301. I have collected the log files. The youtrack issue you linked says...
