In the original post it was Unity 2017.3.0f3, but I have since upgraded to 2017.3.1f1 and I'm still getting the same behaviour. Hopefully it will get fixed by that Rider 2018.1 patch you guys refer...

It's a Unity-generated project. I've also tried removing all *.sln and *.csproj files and triggering their regeneration by Unity. The issue still happens after that.
