In case anybody else finds this error - in my case the problem was that the launching project was not set to build in “Edit Solution Configurations…”

You can manually edit .csproj easily though. Right click on project in Solution, Edit, Edit [PROJECT].csproj.

Yeah, I'm looking at the other Solarized Theme from Subtheme. But I guess I could use this one instead. It's latest stable Rider and Windows 10, but it behaves the same on macOS.
