When i wrote variable colors i actually meant object names. These work but not method or property calls. Anyway i'm using the plugin now and it works 95% with highlighting at least, it still fails ...

Indeed it works with the GDScript Plugin from IceExplosive but my report was about the build-in Godot Support Plugin. Anyway i will use this plugin for now, thanks :)
