I vote for this feature as well. Would be also nice to have syntax highlighing for .njsproj files (they are basically XMLs).

I did the following to solve this problem: Click on cog, then Show All Files Right click on a folder you want to exclude, then Tools/Stop Index Hope this will help someone.
