Rider is stuck on loading projects/solutions

Hi Rider community,

since a few days I'm facing the problem that my Rider is stuck on loading a solution and its projects. There have been similar errors from different users in the past, but non of their solutions worked for me. I cleared caches, created new projects, restarted the IDE + system and even reinstalled my WSL (Ubuntu). Nothing worked.

Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this?

Hello baloth,

Thank you for providing logs. 

In them there is an error: 

Message = “The second attempt of creating a database in folder /home/bastianloth/.cache/JetBrains/Rider2023.1/resharper-host/local/Transient/Rider/v231/ShellCaches/Shell.00 failed.  Possible reasons: 1. Some security software like Antivirus prevents our actions. 2. Not enough access rights”
 Thus, I'd suggest to try disabling antivirus. If that will not help, please try running Rider as Administrator.
