all kinds of errors and missing sdk?

Hi i dont post to forums often but im beyond frustrated. I took a long break from rider and unreal engine and now im coming back with fresh installs of everything including unreal 5.3.2, rider, and vs 2022. i cant build because it acts like i dont have the SDK and ive installed every SDK under the sun almost and im also getting 46 errors that a buncha build tools arent loading that i dont remember ever having to install last time

all i did was i belive the same steps as a year ago (install all the plugins for working with unreal, c++ etc) but everything is so fickle and fine and ive been trying to search for an answer for 3 days now and i just wanna quit entirely or resort to having to use stupid visual studios again cause i cant take this anymore.

does anyone have any idea what direction to go?

Hello Matthew,

Thank you for submitting the question. We are sorry to hear that you encountered such a problem.

As I can see, the error message is Could not resolve SDK "Microsoft.NET.SDK.WorkloadAutoImportPropsLocator". I suppose you encountered a known issue. We have the following similar reports:

Please try the following options:

  • Change the File | Setting | Build, Execution, Deployment | Toolset and Build | .NET CLI executable path and MSBuild version to standalone installations you have (instead of those that come with Unreal Engine sources or VS one);

or

  • Open a VS installer and ensure you have .NET desktop development and Desktop development with C++ components installed. Then restart Rider;

If that doesn't help, please let me know.
Have a nice day!
