Is AI assistant supported for remote development?

I use remote development via Toolbox from my Mac to a Windows VM. AI Assistant works for local development on both the Mac and Windows VM, but when using remote development, AI Assistant plugin is “not found”. Any suggestions?

Have you preinstalled the AI Assistant Plugin on both Mac and Windows?
Do you connect from MAC to Windows or vice versa?
Which version of IDEs and plugins do you use?
Could you collect recent debug logs to help us with troubleshooting (see How to collect IntelliJ IDE logs for AI Assistant troubleshooting)?
