Opening in the wrong tab
If I have two tabs side by side, and I use Search Everywhere and select a type or file, it always opens in the first tab, and not the active tab. Can I change this behaviour or is this a bug in Rider at the moment?

I've figured it out. What happens is that Rider won't open the same file twice, it will instead forcefully change the active tab (even if it's a different split view).
This is quite a jarring changes coming from other editors, and there doesn't appear to be a way to change this behaviour. I will try and adjust my workflow to accommodate the editor.

What you experienced is a known issue, tracked under IJPL-190435 Search Everywhere: the same file cannot be opened several times in editor split via SE. Please subscribe to it for further updates. We will update the issue once there is any progress.
