"Reformat Code" triggers "Code Cleanup" in cshtml files and takes too much time

Answered

Since I updated from Rider 2017.2.1 to 2018.1 reformatting a .cshtml file takes (depending on the file size) about 5 seconds. Before the update it took a few milliseconds.

Can I reconfigure the reformatter to really just reformat this one file instead of cleaning up (and maybe linting or whatever) the code?

I've got the same problem, seems like a common issue for the recent Rider versions. Please fix.

As a workaround, "Show reformat file dialog" command can be used, with simple settings in it. However it takes more clicks!

Hi there,

Slow code cleanup in Razor files is a known issue. Please, vote for it to subscribe for notifications.

To reformat code without full cleanup, select "Reformat Code" profile when running Code Cleanup action. Alternatively, you can use Silent Cleanup with the "Reformat Code" profile assigned to this action.

I hope it helps. Please let me know if you have other questions.

Kind regards,

Sofya
