Answered

Please add possibility to close all open windows  at once like in Visual Studio

Window > Close all documents (short cut: ALT+W, C)

Actually, this is already implemented (Window -> Editor Tabs -> Close All). Alternatively, you can add a shortcut for this action.

That only seems to close the current tab group, not the whole window, let alone all editor-windows.

We want a command that closes ALL editor tabs - regardless of how many editor-tab-groups / windows are open at that point.

Maik Schoenfeld, this feature is not available in Rider yet. Please feel free to vote for IDEA-233693 to demonstrate your interest.

I'm also interested in this feature. Setting a keyboard shortcut for [Window - Editor Tabs - Editor Close Actions - Close All Tabls] only closes the current tab group, but not all everywhere. I'd like to have it close all tabs in all groups. In fact, I don't mind this current behavior, but you should rename it to “Close All Tabs in Group” to correctly reflect the actual behavior in addition to adding the true “Close ALL Tabs” feature. I'm using Rider version 2024.3.6 (latest stable at the time of writing).

I'll vote in the linked IDEA issue.
