Moving a window to another monitor completely hides it
I am using rider 2020.1.1 and recently i notice a bug which is very annoying. Every time I try to deattach a window to move it to my second monitor it just disappears as soon as I drop it into my second space.
The system I am using is Pop Os 19.10. I used rider before as well and did not have this issue. And the funny thing is that if I try open the same file from the Project sidebar view it does not work. Does not matter how many times I click on it.
Does anybody face this issue ?

I've the same issue. When I move the complete window with multiple files docked into to the monitor where rider is contained and detach the tab and dock it on the main window it works. When I detach the tab directly from the second monitor and dock it into rider on the main monitor the tab disapears. I have to restart rider to be able to reopen the file.
Unfortunately, it's a known bug. Please watch the corresponding issue for updates.
I've been using Rider all day / every day for a couple of months after using VS (in its various incarnations) for ~20 years. I am also experiencing this bug. More generally I would say that whilst there are many things I really like about Rider, window management has been the number one pain point for me since picking it up. Compared to VS, the moving and docking of windows feels clunky and imprecise. I never quite know where the window will actually end up when I 'drop' it.
